Terms of Service
Last updated June 19, 2026
These Terms of Service ('Terms', 'Agreement') govern your access to and use of the websites, portals and related services operated by SK Badminton Centre ('SKBC', 'Company', 'we', 'us', or 'our'), including the main website at https://www.skbadmintonclub.com and our student, coach and admin portals (collectively, the 'Services').
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
1. ELIGIBILITY
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of a minor (for example, as a parent or guardian registering a junior player), you represent and warrant that you have the authority to accept these Terms on their behalf and to assume responsibility for their use of the Services.
Coaches, administrators and other staff who are granted elevated access must be authorised by SKBC. We may, at our sole discretion, refuse access, suspend or terminate any account that does not meet our eligibility or authorisation requirements.
2. ACCOUNTS
When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials and any device used to access the Services.
- Promptly notify us if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not you authorised them.
We sign you in through a trusted third-party identity provider (Google). You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. SKBC will never ask for your password.
A single user may hold multiple sub-profiles under one account (for example, a parent managing several players). Sub-profiles share the parent account's billing and contact details but maintain their own class bookings, attendance history and progress.
3. BOOKINGS, CLASSES AND COURT USE
SKBC operates scheduled classes, court rentals, programmes and events. By using the Services to book or attend any class, court session or event, you agree to the following:
- Bookings are subject to availability. Confirmed bookings are non-transferable unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Cancellations and rescheduling must be made through the portal within the timeframes published in our attendance and reassignment policy. Late cancellations, no-shows and unused sessions may, at our discretion, count as a redeemed session of any active package.
- Arrival time. Players should arrive at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Courts and coaching time may be reassigned if a player has not checked in by the start of the session.
- Conduct. Players, coaches and visitors are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, other players and facility property. We reserve the right to refuse service, ask a person to leave the premises, or suspend an account for conduct we consider unsafe, abusive, discriminatory or otherwise inappropriate.
- Equipment and safety. Players are responsible for using equipment safely and appropriately. SKBC is not liable for injuries sustained during play except where required by applicable law.
4. PACKAGES, PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
Pricing, package contents, session counts and validity periods are displayed in-app at the point of purchase and form part of these Terms once a package is purchased.
- Prices are stated in the local currency and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise noted.
- Payment is processed by our third-party payment providers. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
- Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy. Packages that have been partially used, or sessions that have already been delivered, are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we have made a clear error.
- Promotions and credits (including referral bonuses, complimentary sessions and discounts) are non-transferable, have no cash value and may be revoked if abused.
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate.
5. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to, and not to allow any person under your account to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Services, other accounts, computer systems or networks connected to the Services.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services, or breach any security or authentication measures.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive source code or underlying ideas of any software underpinning the Services.
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware or any other malicious code, or otherwise interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
- Scrape, crawl or use automated means to access or copy any content from the Services without our prior written consent.
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any other person when using the Services.
6. CONTENT
Your content
You may submit content to the Services, including profile information, profile photos, notes and feedback ('User Content'). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant SKBC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting) and display that User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Services.
You represent that you have all rights needed to submit the User Content and that it does not violate any law or infringe the rights of any third party.
Our content
The Services, including their design, logos, branding, text, graphics, software and underlying source code, are owned by SKBC or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or create derivative works of any part of the Services without our prior written consent.
7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Services rely on third-party providers to operate, including Google (sign-in), Stripe or other payment processors (billing), Supabase (storage) and Vercel (hosting). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. SKBC is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any third-party provider, but we choose providers we trust to handle your information responsibly.
8. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that:
- You have breached these Terms.
- Your use of the Services poses a security, legal or operational risk.
- We are required to do so by law.
- We are discontinuing the Services or any part of them.
You may stop using the Services at any time. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at [email protected]. Some information may be retained as required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. DISCLAIMERS
The Services are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SKBC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that any defects will be corrected. We are not responsible for the accuracy of any coaching advice, training programmes or health-related information made available through the Services, which should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional medical or coaching advice.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SKBC, its directors, employees, coaches, partners or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Services.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, for use of the Services in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or RM 100, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold SKBC and its directors, employees and affiliates harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by an updated 'Last updated' date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, by email or by a notice in the portal). Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.
